Now in its eighth year, GPT has sponsored the Property Council of Australia’s 500 Women in Property Program since its inception. The program is designed to champion women in the property industry and provide networking and professional development opportunities.

GPT’s workforce is 56 per cent female, with females occupying 46 per cent of roles in the top quartile by base pay and making up 44 per cent of the Executive Leadership Team and 50 per cent of the GPT Board.

We are proud of our credentials and achievements in respect of promoting gender diversity within GPT and the Property industry more broadly.

In 2023 GPT was delighted to be ranked in the top ten organisations globally in the annual Gender Equality Global Report & Ranking report released by Equileap. The research examined 3,787 companies, representing 102 million employees globally, that are listed on a major index or in one of 23 developed markets.

The GPT Group was named an Employer of Choice for Gender Equality for the fourth consecutive time by the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA).

The GPT Group was officially certified in 2022 as a Family Inclusive Workplace™ in February 2022, one of the first in the Property industry to achieve this.

GPT was recognised as a Gold Employer (small employer category) for the first time in the 2022 Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI), the national benchmark for LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion. For the previous two years (2020 and 2021), GPT was recognised as a Bronze Employer.

32 Smith received a Commendation in the Commercial Development Award for Excellence category at the 2021 Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) NSW Awards.

GPT was listed as a constituent of the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index, part of the S&P Dow Jones Indices, for the 13th consecutive year. The listing recognises our continued global leadership in sustainability and ESG.

GPT was awarded Green Star (top quintile) status in the GRESB environmental, social and governance (ESG) benchmark for global real estate investments. The Group received a score of 91 out of 100, with the GPT Wholesale Office Fund and the GPT Wholesale Shopping Centre Fund receiving scores of 94 and 93, respectively.

GPT was recognised as a Bronze Employer (small employer category) for the second time in the 2021 Australian Workplace Equality Index (AWEI), the national benchmark for LGBTI workplace inclusion.

GPT was named one of the most sustainable real estate companies in the world in 2020, ranked second and in the top 1% globally by the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) SAM Corporate Sustainability Assessment.
